BioShala is the daughter of Shadis, Dolphincraft Journeyman and Jala, Istan Rider. She's Shadis' third child and lived with him for much of her childhood. Eventually, she moved in with her mother at Ista Weyr and has lived with her mother since. She's not particularly close to any of her family and isn't very fond of Shadis' older children, Shiane and Shrik. She's always felt like a misfit in a family of blondes and has kept herself distant from her father's family. Nor has she felt comfortable with Jala's family, instead keeping to herself.
